Abiodun's Second term will be a walk over- Armstrong, Ogun APC chieftain

Eniola Sunmola, Abeokuta

An Ogun State chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Armstrong 'Tope Akintunde has said that it is becoming clearer everyday that the second term ambition of Gov Dapo Abiodun would eventually be a walk over.

Armstrong disclosed that the various giant strides of Gov Abiodun in road and infrastructural development, education, agric, housing, health, employment creation among others have always strongly reinforce the strong conviction to allow Gov Abiodun continue governance beyond 2023.

The APC chieftain disclosed this while speaking with journalists at Iperu Remo residence of Gov Abiodun on Monday, after a political support group, DA Mandate disclosed raising the sum of N50m to purchase the second term nomination form for the governor.

Armstrong said "Gov Dapo Abiodun of our dear state has no doubt been exceptional with governance in the state, the developmental projects have been very huge across the state and just like scholarship is given to exceptionally brilliant student, some progressives across Remo land have also contributed the sum of N50M to buy the nomination form for the governor.

"It's the least we all can do to ensure that the unprecedented development across the state continues beyond 2023".

The property merchant also revealed further that "in terms of mobilisation, our group, Dapo Abiodun Continuity Agenda (DACA) has been doing a lot of work in this regard, we have left no stone unturned in all the 20 local governments and the agenda is to ensure a seamless second term for our hardworking governor, our target is to mobilise at least 10,000 votes for the governor in each of our 20 local governments.

"In fact those who want to contest against the governor are losers already because you just don't disband a performing team. Really, it's becoming clearer everyday that Gov Abiodun's second term is already a walkover".
